Resistance Resources

The Mt. Lebanon Democratic Committee has provided this list of resources for our members and friends. Use of them is entirely up to the individual. The MLDC is not affiliated with these groups.

Groups and Organizations

Indivisible

Get involved with the help of Indivisible’s searchable database for protests and other events in your area.

MoveOn

Whether it’s supporting a candidate, passing legislation, or changing our culture, MoveOn members are committed to an inclusive and progressive future. We envision a world marked by equality, sustainability, justice, and love. And we mobilize together to achieve it.

Public Citizen

Public Citizen is fighting, suing, and organizing against the Trump regime.

Stand Up America

Stand Up America’s goal is simple: to demand the democracy we deserve. A democracy for the people, by the people. All of the people.

ACLU – American Civil Liberties Union

The ACLU dares to create a more perfect union — beyond one person, party, or side. Their mission is to realize this promise of the United States Constitution for all and expand the reach of its guarantees.

SPLC – Southern Poverty Law Center

The Southern Poverty Law Center is a catalyst for racial justice in the South and beyond, working in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy, strengthen intersectional movements, and advance the human rights of all people. The SPLC publishes a quarterly newsletter and provides robust legal assistance.

ProPublica

ProPublica is an independent, nonprofit newsroom that produces investigative journalism with moral force. They dig deep into important issues, shining a light on abuses of power and betrayals of public trust — and stick with those issues as long as it takes to hold power to account.

The New York Times

America’s foremost newspaper. Over a hundred years ago, The Times pledged “to give the news impartially, without fear or favor, regardless of party, sect, or interests involved.” That commitment remains true today.

90.5 FM WESA Public Radio

Our local NPR news station. One of the best sources of local journalism around. In addition to radio, they also have an impressive website of news to read.
